#CEEAIChallenger 2026 Finale: A common regional voice for Europe’s AI future

2 July 2026 | 15:00 CEST | Brussels, Business&Science Poland (Rue Belliard 40)

After a series of expert discussions held across Central and Eastern Europe, the #CEEAIChallenger 2026 initiative will conclude with a high-level finale in Brussels, bringing together European policymakers, industry leaders, academics, and AI experts to present a common regional perspective on the future of artificial intelligence in Europe.

Over the past weeks, the #CEEAIChallenger 2026 series has explored the key factors shaping AI development and deployment across the region. Roundtables in Bucharest, Prague, Vilnius, and Bratislava are focusing on AI investment, business adoption, skills and workforce transformation, as well as regulatory frameworks and policy simplification. While each discussion reflects national and sector-specific experiences, they also reveal a growing consensus on the priorities needed to strengthen Europe’s AI competitiveness.

The Brussels finale will serve as an opportunity to consolidate these regional insights into a set of practical recommendations for European policymakers. Participants will discuss how Europe can accelerate AI deployment, strengthen innovation ecosystems, unlock investment, and build the skills needed to succeed in the global AI race.

The event will also examine the role of Central and Eastern Europe in shaping the future of European AI policy. With its strong talent base, rapidly developing innovation communities, and growing technological ambitions, the region is increasingly becoming an important contributor to Europe’s digital transformation. At the same time, challenges related to investment, scale, regulatory complexity, and market fragmentation continue to require coordinated action at both national and EU levels.
